Definition of A1 and A2 Milk

A1 milk is a type of cow milk that contains beta-casein protein, it's the most common type of milk which is produced in large quantities. This milk type is consumed by many individuals when compared to A2 milk. This milk is produced by the cows residing in Holstein Friesian, Ayrshire, and Jersey. These breeds are generally used in industrialized dairy farming.
A2 milk is a standard type of cow milk that only contains the A2 variant of beta-casein protein which makes them different from regular milk, as regular milk contains both A1 and A2 beta-casein protein. The beta-casein protein found in A2 milk is considered the original and genuine form of the protein found in this milk. A2 milk is mainly produced by indigenous cow breeds such as Ongole, Tharparkar, Gir, Khillari, Kangrej, and Sahiwal.

Key Differences Between A1 and A2 Milk
